HOW TO USE THE ARC E-TRAINING AND TESTING CENTER
Using this program is easy, but we will give you a few pointers to make it even easier.

Scrolling
The pages in this course contain a wealth of information. You will often need to scroll down and up. Some students use the mouse pointing to the scrollbar on the right or bottom of the screen, while others prefer to use the directional arrow keys to the right of the alpha keypad. Either way works fine.

Prior to Login
You will want to be sure to have a copy of the most current Industry Agent's Handbook with you. There are several references to pages in this book. Before logging into the ARC Specialist Training Website, please review each of the sections that appear as navigational links at the side of this page. Prerequisites
In order to experience the training fully, you will need to use a computer with an Internet connection using at least a 28.8kps modem and version 6 or higher (we recommend 7 or higher) of the Microsoft Internet Explorer Browser. Your color setting should be 256 or greater.

Our courses are designed for a screen resolution setting of 800 x 600 or greater (right click on your desktop, preferences, settings).

Browser Settings:
Our courses use Active Server Pages. In order for these to function properly, you will need to use certain browser settings. The Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE) default browser settings should be fine, but in case these have been changed:

  • Internet Explorer (IE) - View/Internet Options/Security - set to medium or low. Then click Advanced. Go down to Cookies. Either Always accept or Prompt before accepting should be checked. Just below this is Java VM. Java JIT compiler enabled and Java logging enabled (at least) should be checked.
Finally, a word about fonts. Our courses require a great deal of reading from your screen. On a screen, sans-serif fonts (like Arial) are easier on your eyes. You may wish to set your fonts to view in Arial. This is also under View/Internet Options for IE.
How to Create an Account
When you go to create an account, the first thing you need to do is verify that you don't already have an existing account. To see if you have an existing account, please enter your First and Last name and one of the following: Date of Birth, ARC Number, ARC Training Pin.

If a match is found, you already have an account and do not need to create a new one. You can login using your ARC pin and password to continue to register for training or testing.

If a match is not found, fill in the information on the screen and click the Submit Button. Once you submit your information and create an account, you will be assigned an ARC Pin. This pin will be displayed on the screen and emailed to you (Please remember it for your records). This is your permanent ARC Pin and you will use it to log in.
